Eddie Argall
was born in Melbourne Australia and moved to Palm Beach on the Queensland Gold Coast. His passion for art developed early in his school years.
Due to his fathers passion for motorcycles and speedway he followed in his father’s footsteps and took on a carrier riding speedway. In the early seventies he moved to the UK to pursue his speedway career. His racing career was interrupted due to an accident and he had a lengthy rehabilitation ahead of him.
His passion for art was his salvation and he began with charactors and paintings within the sport of motorcycle speedway.
Family and business took a priority and his art became a pastime. On returning to the Gold Coast, Australia many years later he resumed his love of painting and drawing. Relocating to Mission Beach, a tropical paradise in North Queensland he has begun his artistic dream.

A wonderful oil on board by former rider Eddie Argall, painted in 1978.He captures superbly the all action style of Peter Collins as he blasts around the boards at the old Hyde Road track at Belle Vue,Manchester. Those with long memories will be able to imagine the roar of the crowd, the scenic railway in the distance and the magic in this old time image.
Peter is wearing his Red black and white Lewis leathers and an Aces race jacket. An added bonus is that I asked Peter to sign the back of this in red felt pen the same year it was painted.I bought this from the Aces supporters club stand at the 1978 northern motorcycle show in Belle Vue Gardens. The painting is in superb condition and comes from a smoke free home,it measures 38cm x 28 cm (15in x 11in)
